How to get a tax deduction for treatment
Obtaining a tax deduction for treatment or the purchase of medicines consists of the following steps:

Filling in the tax return 3-NDFL. This must be done when the year ends, during which the person incurred expenses.
Getting a 2-personal income tax certificate (the amount of accrued and withheld expenses, issued by the accounting department at the place of work).Preparation of photocopies of documents to confirm the close relationship with a citizen, payment for the treatment of which or medicines for him was made.
Collection of a package of documents giving the right to return a tax deduction for treatment.
Submission of a tax return and a package of documents to the tax authority at the place of residence.

Documents required to receive a tax deduction in Russia
A citizen of the Russian Federation, who paid, for example, the cost of cancer treatment in Israel, can return part of the costs by preparing a package of documents consisting of:

3-NDFL tax return filed after the calendar year.
References 2-personal income tax.
Copies of documents for confirmation of kinship, if payment was made for the next of kin (marriage certificate, birth certificate of a child, birth certificate of a tax payer).
Copies of documents required for tax deduction:
an agreement concluded with the clinic in which the treatment was carried out;
a certificate confirming the payment of the services rendered (the original will also be needed);
a certificate stating that the patient needs to buy medicines for expensive treatment at his own expense;
root of a sanatorium-resort voucher, if the treatment was such;
payment documents (receipts, checks, etc.), while the documents should indicate that the payment was made by a citizen who has concluded an agreement with the clinic (a tax payer who wants to receive a tax deduction);
Bank account details for crediting funds.
Treatment tax deduction: documents

You may need to provide a license for the clinic in which the treatment was performed. If hospitals in Israel were chosen, then there will be no problems, since all of them are licensed in accordance with the legislation of the country.

When treating under a voluntary medical insurance contract, copies of the following documents are required:

a policy or voluntary health insurance contract;
receipt or receipt of insurance premium;
a prescription that states “for submission to the tax authorities” (the original is also necessary);
individual tax number;
payment documents.
