Goals and objectives of the Israeli Medical Tourism Association
The objectives of IMTA are:

Providing patients who come for treatment to Israel from abroad with complete and reliable information about medical companies operating in the field of Israeli medical tourism.
Legal support, legal assistance to foreign patients in those cases when unlawful acts (fraud) were committed against them or when they became a victim of negligence committed during treatment.
High level guarantee of all medical institutions that are part of the Medical Tourism Association.
Disqualification and removal from the medical tourism market of unscrupulous companies that by their activities damage the image of Israeli health care.
How it works?
Any organization, be it a hospital or an intermediary company, is admitted to the Association only subject to uncompromising compliance with all the requirements of its charter. Requirements for IMTA Members:

The presence in the state of a specialist of the highest category who has worked in the Israeli health care system for 10 years or more. It is this specialist who becomes the coordinator of the foreign patient and is responsible for his treatment.
A medical institution, providing services to its patients, is obliged to adhere to the Law on the Protection of the Rights of Patients, adopted by the Knesset on 05.05.1996. This law applies to all, including foreign, patients.
The medical institution is tightly controlled by the Association through its Board of Trustees and the Presidium, consisting of doctors of the highest category, public figures and politicians in Israel, enjoying an impeccable reputation.
Each organization that is a member of the Israel Medical Tourism Association has a mark on its website, which is a certificate of the Association, which certifies that this organization fully complies with all its requirements and rules, as well as the requirements of the Israeli Ministry of Health.

Each organization, which is a member of the Israel Medical Tourism Association, is recorded in the IMTA register with a unique registration number. Registration can always be checked on the official website of IMTA.
